BaadAsssss Cinema is a feature documentary in which Isaac Julien explores the 70s hollywoodian film genre known as blaxploitation and its trajectory in American cinema and society.

The film includes interviews with actors Fred Williamson, Pam Grier, Richard Roundtree and Samuel L. Jackson, with directors Quentin Tarantino and Larry Cohen, together with archival footage and an enticing soundtrack tell the story of blaxploitation's emergence and its social and political context.
