Developed in conjunction with the release of What Freedom Is To Me - published on the occasion of the artist's large-scale survey exhibition in 2023 at Tate Britain - Isaac Julien App allows readers to immerse themselves in the artist's pioneering work across film and installation since the early 1980s. 

 

Users are able to position their camera phone over a variety of specially chosen images that come to life, in movement and sound, highlighting the artist's multifaceted practice that draws from film, dance, photography, music, theatre, painting and sculpture by utilising the themes of desire, history and culture.
