This hang focused on a specific country and culture, China, featuring works by 11 artists.

Combining contemplative engagement with pop-culture energy, tradiiton with contemporaneity, everyday objects and symbols, and Eastern and Western references, it offered a variety of powerful individual expressions and views of history, contemporary society and even spirituality within a globalised world.

Ten Thousand Waves was the only work by a non-Chinese artist to be featured by a non-Chinese artist, offering a counterpoint to the work of the other artists.
