Isaac Julien's WESTERN UNION: small boats was installed in the stunning unfinished Theatre Royal Opera Salon in Marrakech as part of the 3rd Edition of the Aim Biennale.
First held in November 2005, the Arts in Marrakech (AiM) International
Biennale is the first major Trilingual (English, Arabic & French)
festival in North Africa.
As a partner of this exhibition, Creative Africa Network extends it
support of creative practice in Africa by awarding Isaac Julien a
Mobility Award. Creative Africa Network is a virtual and live platform,
as well as a cultural directory providing valuable information to
artists and cultural liaisons. CAN members are also eligible to receive
puma.creative Mobility Awards, providing the opportunity to attend and
participate in important national and international events.
A single screen version of WESTERN UNION: small boats will also be screening at the Ecole Superieure des Arts Visuels, the only film and visual art school in North Africa.
PUMA.Creative and Creative Africa Network partnered with the AiM Biennale, Morocco, as sponsors of the Isaac Julien exhibition, WESTERN UNION: small boats which was on show from 19 to 23 November.
